Avinash K. Rana brings a distinguished 30 year legal career (1995–2025), combining deep experience in private practice and senior in-house leadership roles across India and the Middle East. He began his professional journey as an Advocate registered with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa, Mumbai, India in 1995, building a strong foundation in civil, commercial, corporate, and criminal matters through extensive practice before the Bombay High Court and lower courts in India.

 

With over 18 years of experience in the Middle East, Avinash has held senior positions in the UAE and Oman, including Partner – Banking, Finance & Corporate Commercial Transactions at Kochhar & Co. (Inc.) Advocates & Legal Consultants, Dubai, Senior Vice President & Head of Legal and Regulatory Compliance at RAKBANK, Dubai, Manager – Legal & Compliance at RSA Oman (Al Ahlia Insurance), Oman. During this period, he played a key role in establishing legal, governance, and regulatory compliance functions for major institutions, overseeing complex banking, insurance, corporate and commercial transactions, and managing disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

In India over 12 years, Avinash has practised law in Bombay High Court and worked in esteemed corporate organisations like, National Legal Head at Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mumbai, Associate Attorney at Essar Group, Mumbai and CS Trainee at Godrej Group, Mumbai. 

 

His expertise spans corporate law, banking and insurance regulation, commercial advisory, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, governance, regulatory compliance, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation management.
